Pip lived at Wickit Monastery, the island where only the monks lived. Then one day when Pip was helping one of his fellow brothers by fixing the roof, he met a friendly gargoyle named Perfect who hid in Pip’s hood from the other monks, the Abbot (the guy in charge), and the Prior (the second in command). Later, when he was traveling to Ely with Brother Gilbert to get medicine, he heard about a plot to assassinate the young king Arnald. Pip and Perfect knew they had to save Arnald and escape back to Wickit!
Book 1 of the Wickit Chronicles, “Ely Plot” doesn’t have a lot of violence in it but there is some fighting. I like this book and want to read the other books in the series (there are 3 books in total). I liked the story and want to know what happens next to the characters in the book.
I rate it 4 out of 5 book worms.

How did Perfect help Pip in Ely? Aren’t gargoyles big how can he fit into Pip’s hoood?
I can’t tell you how Perfect helped Pip because it will give away part of the story. Perfect fit into Pip’s hood because she was a small gargoyle. I guess they come in all sizes!
