The Kane Chronicles Book II – The Throne of Fire
The Throne of Fire
By Rick Riordan
Published in 2011 by Hyperion
Ages 9-12 – 464 pages
What would you do if you had to find and wake a senile god that no one knows where he rests and only had 5 days to do it? Oh, did I forget to tell you that if you don’t find the god in 5 days, the world will probably end. You have 2 choices: ***
Sit Around And Die
Try To Find The God And Maybe Die Trying
If you are Sadie and Carter Kane you’d try to find the god, even if it was dangerous. Enjoy Sadie’s birthday, gamble with Khonsu, get help from a couple of enemies, and make friends with a griffin while living the usual Kane family life!
The adventures of Carter and Sadie continue in this 2nd book after The Red Pyramid! If you didn’t read The Red Pyramid, that’s okay because this book is a story all on its own (although I do recommend you read The Red Pyramid –see my review)!
This book is Cool, Adventurous, and Thrilling (C.A.T.). I would recommend this to anyone who likes Egyptian mythology, action, adventure, fighting with your brother or sister or just a good story.
I am already anxiously awaiting the 3rd book in the Kane Chronicle series (no name yet!) that is supposed to be released in the spring of 2012!
I give The Throne of Fire 5 out of 5 book worms!!!!
