Cryptid Hunters

Cryptid Hunters

by  Roland Smith

Published in 2006 by Hyperion

352  pages -Ages 9-12

Meet Marty and Grace O’Hara (twins). Marty and Grace live at a boarding school and their parents are missing in a helicopter crash. Marty is a trouble maker at his school along with his roommate, Luther. Grace might be a foot shorter than Marty, but she is a foot smarter! When they get an e-mail from their mysterious Uncle (that they didn’t know  existed) saying that he was going to take them to his island, they go straight to their headmaster, Dr. Beasel to find out what was going on. They ended up going to their Uncle’s island(Cryptos Island) to live with him. They find out that their Uncle is going to the Congo without them to find DINOSAUR eggs and they have to go back to the school. Marty and Grace get on board the jet to be sent back to school, but accidentally get dropped into the Congo during the cargo drop. Then a crazy adventure starts!

This book is Funny, Exciting, Entertaining, and Teaching (F.E.E.T.). This is the first book featuring Marty and Grace. The second one is called Tentacles (see my review). Both books were excellent! I recommend this book to everyone who can read! If you want more Marty and Grace, the third book in the series (which may be called Chupacabra) is coming out 2012! You can also find out more information at Roland Smith’s website!

I give this book 5 out of 5 book worms!
