Sasha is a house cat with great owners. When her owners move away and they can’t take her she is devastated! She decides to move to the woods and stay there. She meets Tigerstar, leader of Shadowclan and learns how to survive in the wilderness. Tigerstar shows her around the clan’s camp. Later on, she finds out one of Tigerstar’s worst secrets. He lied to her and tried to trick her to join an army!

Into the woods is the first graphic novel (Tigerstar & Sasha series) in the adaptation of the Warrior novel series (so far there are 10 graphic novels). It has reeled me into the world of “Warriors” and I’m going to read the novel as soon as I get my hands on it! The Warriors series has over 20 books in it. The books follow four clans of wild cats and tells about their civilization.  The graphic novel was interesting but I think the novel will reveal much more of the story. The book is a very quick read. The illustrations are all in black and white but are really detailed and I like how they look a lot. There is a really cool Warriors website you can visit by clicking HERE, but I feel a bit lost on it because I am not familiar with the series – better get reading! Here’s an interesting fact, Erin Hunter is actually the pen name for the 4 authors ( Kate Cary, Cherith Baldry, Tui Sutherland and Victoria Holmes) that write the series!

I give it 3 out of 5 book worms.

  1. Funny – I have my “Into the Wild” Warriors review scheduled to post next Tuesday. I wasn’t crazy about it, but I think my daughter would really like the series. When she’s done with Harry Potter, I’m going to point her in this direction.

  2. nice
