Noah Winter’s parents have an awesome job. They are treasure hunters! But, now, they have been kidnapped! Noah and Anthony (Noah’s parent’s assistant) think they know who did it, but they have no evidence. Noah and Anthony decide to finish the mission (the latest treasure hunt) his parents were on when they were kidnapped in hopes of finding the treasure map that reveals the location of the valuable De La Rosa emerald and more importantly, Noah’s mom and dad! Diabolical enemies, a Burmese Python, scuba diving, pirates, shipwrecks, ghosts, you think a 13-year old like Noah would be tired out after all this, nope!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book because of the adventure and excitement in it. I REALLY liked Noah as a main character! He was an awesome guy. He was brave, smart, kind and very adventurous. The story is a type I like very much and I think this would be a great book for reluctant boy readers. The book was a quick read for me (maybe because it was so exciting 🙂 ) and there isn’t any bad language in it. There is some mild violence, but nothing graphic or upsetting.
Five out of five bookworms for “Emerald Quest”!

Sounds like a great story, Erik! And I think it’s neat that you’re featuring a self-published book. How did you find out about it?
It is awesome! Ms. Pawlish emailed me and asked me if I’d like to review her book. I looked at the description and thought it sounded cool. I accepted the offer and read and reviewed it! 🙂

I would have loved this book when I was growing up. I read lots of “Nancy Drew” and “Choose Your Own Adventure.”
I really love “Choose Your Own Adventure” books! This book is a great action book! 🙂
