The Nutt children, Chess and Praline, loved to have pretend adventures. They wished and wished they would have an adventure of their own. When Chess falls out of their tree home and Praline jumps out to save him, the Nutt children get raked up and their real life adventure begins! Will the Nutt kids survive their nutty adventure?!?
This is a hilarious picture book! I love the names of the Nutt family, Filbert, Hazel, Chess and Praline (come on, that’s FUNNY). The adventure the Nutt kids go on is exciting but not too scary for younger kids. The illustrations are really cool too. The last page of the book has some acorn facts like “Acorns are a food source for pigs, deer, woodpeckers, bears, squirrels and mice, but they are toxic to horses.”
I think everyone will enjoy this fun read!
I reviewed another great book by Ms. Muse, “Lil’ Glimmer” you can see that review HERE.
The books sounds so nutty I bet you cracked up!
HA HA! That’s PUNNY! 😉
In a nutshell!
HA HA HA! 😉
I think the boys would love this one. I agree, the names are hilarious! Thanks for finding it, Erik.
I hope they like it Ms. Larson!
I love the names of the Nutt family! I might have to check this out so I can add it to my books-to-recommend-to-friends-with-kids list. 🙂
I think it is a book everyone would like 🙂
This sounds right up my tree! Thanks Erik!
HA! Another great Pun! (or is that a metaphor?) 😉 This is so pun!
What a fun story for kids, Erik. It you add a nutty activity, pardon the pun, this would be a great entry for the PPB. Susanna many times adds PB books I review to the list.
Thank you Ms. Tilton! I really like puns! It’s a good idea to put it in for a PPB!
What hilarious names….and so clever, I love punny picture books…The illustrations look as funny as the text and I like the idea of having some acorn facts at the back of the book.
The illustrations are realy cute. I love the expressions on the little nuts!
This sounds hilarious….my kind of book.
It is a really punny book! I hope you like it Ms. Klostermann!
