Today I have extra help with my review – my sister Josie! Today we will be reviewing the picture book “Isabella’s Pink Umbrella” by Yvette Cragun and Adrienne Quintana. Josie and I read the book together and I asked Josie what she thought of the book!
Isabella’s father brought her a pink umbrella when he came home from a trip to New York City. Isabella loves the umbrella and takes it outside to use it. She opens the umbrella and it lifts her away for a wonderful trip around New York City!
– Did you like the book Josie?
–
–
– Why?
–
– The little girl flew in it.
–
– I liked the book too. I liked the rhyming in the story and what it told you about New York CIty too. Did you like Isabella?
–
– Yes. She is cute and loves her Dad.
–
– Did you like the pictures in the book?
–
– Yes, I like the bright colors.
–
– I wasn’t super fond of the pictures but I did like the bright colors used in them. Would you read the book again?
–
– I would tell my friends to read it!
–
– If you could pick where Isabella and her pink umbrella goes next, where would it be?
–
– I want Isabella to travel to Mars.
–
– Good Choice! I think I’d like to see her go to China and fly over the Great Wall! What bookworm rating would you give the book?
–
–
– Thanks Josie!

Interesting story. I like bright colors like Josie too. So, we’ll have to check this one out.
It is a good story. I think you and Enzo will like it! 🙂
Very nice story…i like it.. really awesome
It is a nice story! Please stop by again! 🙂
An umbrella ride around New York sounds wonderful. And I love the idea of a follow up in China, you should suggest it, Erik!
It does sound fun. If only it were Non-Fiction… 😉
Yes, of course!
Sounds like a fun book. Thanks so much for the review Erik and for your help as well Josie. Keep up the good work, and best of luck to Ms. Cragun and Ms. Quintana.

It is fun Mr. Hewlett! Thanks for commenting!
I’m with Josie! Isabella should head to Mars next. Thanks for the recommendation.
Maybe your kids can accompany her to Mars! 😉 Now THAT would be fun!
Such fun to hear from Josie. Love her idea of Mars, and yours of going to China next. I’d like Isabella to go to England next :).
Oooh! England! Cool! That’s a good idea!
Great job, you two. I love hearing Josie’s opinion in there, too!
Thank you! We had fun doing the review! 🙂
Great job Josie and Erik. Sounds like a fun book if she’d recommend it to her girlfriends. You should review again. Great job!
Thank you Ms. Tilton! 🙂
I loved reading this wonderful review. Great job Josie and Erik! 🙂
Thank you Ms. C.!
I love this review. Getting to see how both you and Josie felt about the book really gave the book an extra appeal. It would be interesting to see where Isabella flies off to next 🙂
Thank you Ms. Brown! I am glad you liked our review. 🙂
This was such fun! It was great to hear your sister’s thoughts on this book. It looks like a cute book. I would like to fly with an umbrella and I like rhyming books. 🙂
It is a cute book! Flying with an umbrella would be awesome!
Fun review! You and Josie worked well together on this.
From your review it looks as if the umbrella took Isabella around New York because it came from NY itself. Is that so? If that’s the way it works, I would be happy to receive an umbrella from Australia! 🙂
I think that is why Isabella went to New York because at the end of the book she was wondering where her Dad was going next. I would like to go to Austraila too! (And Canada! 🙂 )!
This is one of my collaborative blogposts ever! I liked hearing your sister’s voice here.
Thank you Ms. Bascal! I am glad you like our review! 🙂
