This book is a collection of short rhyming stories. They are about animals that aren’t really heard of that often – How many of you can say right off the bat that they know what a tenrec is? Instead of using animals starting with A, B, or C, the stories are of animals from the end of the alphabet (starting with the letter T). Learn about tenrecs, water dragons, yellow-bellied poison dart frogs, Zebus and more!
I like the whole idea of this book and how it uses the end of the alphabet (letters not really used that much) with exotic animals (animals not really heard of that much). The illustrations are cute and cheery and fun to look at. I like how the illustrator tried to make the pictures look realistic by making the habitats and animals look like the real ones. I thought the rhyme flowed pretty well in each short story and it was fun to read. I read that Mr. Coogan is a zookeeper so I think he should be an expert on these animals and what they do. This book is a nice way to introduce kids to some animals they never heard of!
I give this book 4 out of 5 book worms.
