Hi everyone! I am enjoying my 2 hour school delay! 😀
Today I am not HERE I am THERE – WHERE?
I did an Adoption Book Report on the Africa to America blog.
I reviewed The Year of the Baby by Andrea Cheng.
Adoption is an important subject to me because Josie and I are adopted. I chose this book to review because I think it shows a good image of an adoptive family. Click HERE to go to my book report!

We love your book report, E. If Mom knew how to write MG or YA, she might have taken a stab at doing an adoption book. Guess what. I’m adopted, too!! And just like you and Josie, I’m one of the many happy stories!!
Love and licks,
Cupcake
YAY!!! I LOVE happy endings! 😀
Wow! Erik! I didn’t know you and your sister were adopted. Great report.
p.s. you are right! It is great to hear a happy adoption report. Your parents’ love shines through all you do.
Yeah, most people don’t know that about us. We were both adopted from Columbus, Ohio. People in my grade always ask if we come from the same family. We don’t. But we are still siblings. 🙂
Loved you review and report. Left a comment on the other website. Both our children are adopted.
Thank you, Mrs. Tilton! 😀
I look forward to checking out the review! This does look like a great book. I am glad you and your sister have happy adoption stories. 🙂 I have a few nieces and nephews who are adopted and we just love them to bits!
Thank you Ms. Peterson! 😀 It is a great book! 😀
A wonderful review about a very special book. I love to read about how a biological child so readily accepts an adopted sibling. There should be more books like this.
Yup, there should. 🙂
What a great book and review Erik! I’m kind of adopted as I don’t live with my “real” mom and dad. And it’s kind of a cross cultural adoption that is full of JOY! We have quite a few blended families in Glen Rose. Families with adopted children from different cultures. There is even a family who recently adopted a little girl from China and her name is Kaylee! For real! I don’t know any adopted kids who don’t have happy stories, and you’re right – there needs to be more books about those kids!
Whoa! What a coincidence! 🙂
Fabulous review and report, Erik. I love adoption stories.
Thank you Miss Marple! 🙂
I’ve heard of this book, but haven’t had a chance to read it yet. Thanks for such a thorough review, I visited you ‘there’ as well! 🙂
Thank you! It is a good book! 😀
