Sorry I’m late about this! School got in the way! 😉

Opening and Synopsis- Opening: “” [Wordless]

Why I liked this book- This is a marvelous wordless picture book. It really encompasses unlikely friendships and the creativity in them, as such. Ms. Lee is a great artist. Her art masterfully tells a story that is an inspiring adventure. The artwork is just stunning. The illustrations show that, with friends, you can do anything, and have a lot of fun. The art makes great use of white space, and has a really cool vibe to them. I recommend this book, and I look forward to more books by Ms. Lee.
Activities and Resources-
Take an ordinary circumstance, and then create something amazing from it, much like the MC in this book.
Try telling a story in only pictures. Kids can draw their own pictures or cut them out of magazines. Paste them together to make a story of your own.

I feel like I’ve seen that cover. What a great concept and I love wordless ones. Great review, Erik!
I love the drawing on the cover… and yes! it’s really appealing! It’s a lovely review… thanks :-)claudine
This looks gorgeous. And yes! School does seem to get in the way of a lot of things!
I totally agree with you – this is a beautiful book!
I got ya’ on this one Erik!! 🙂
Pool is a beautiful book. I loved the humor and the gorgeous underwater world the kids explore. Good choice for Perfect Picture Book Friday. But I still gotcha! 😆
Wordless picture books never used to appeal to me. Then I read FLOTSAM by David Wiesner, which won a Caldecott Medal. When handled properly, wordless stories can be compelling and moving.
And no need to apologize because school got in the way. 🙂 (You know what Mark Twain said about school, right? “I’ve never let school interfere with my education.”)
Sorry, I missed that you reviewed a book. This wordless book looks beautiful! Great review.
