Synopsis from publisher: “In this beautiful celebration of motherhood, the universal message of unconditional love for a child shines through. Laurenne Sala’s heartwarming text, accompanied by New York Times bestselling artist Robin Preiss Glasser’s charming illustrations, creates a firsthand look at the powerful bond between mother and child from pregnancy to birth and beyond.”
What I Thought- This is a really sweet book, with love pouring throughout the pages, and into the reader as well. The illustrations are rather realistic, but with a very nice feeling to them. The writing reflects ho a mom would actually speak to her child and flows very nicely. I could see mom’s reading this book over and over again to her children. The pictures are full of emotion, and they showcase how a mother loves her child. This is a gorgeous book that parents will love to read to their kids – and that their kids would love to be read to!

I just watched the book trailer you included. I LOVE this book! I can see what a perfect book this is to give to a new mom, but another part of me sees this as the perfect book for a mom to gift to her child. This is truly a present from the heart. Thanks for sharing this beautiful book.
You are exactly right! 😀
Sounds like a very sweet book. Robin Preiss Glasser’s illustration definitely add a certain warmth to the book.
Ms. Glasser was definitely a good pick for the illustrations! 😀
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing. And I love Robin Preiss Glasser’s warm and evocative illustration style. It’s like seeing an old friend (probably because I’ve ready so many Fancy Nancy books).
It’s a fabulous book! 😀
Sounds like a sweet book and a lovely celebration of moms and kids. But it wouldn’t work as well for the second child in a family.
I guess you are right about it not being the same for a second child – I didn’t even think about that! 🙂
This sounds like one I can’t resist, Erik. Thanks for giving it a shout out!

And that is also just as fine – I’m adopted too! 😀
